Carrie Louise Cavallaro

Carrie Louise Cavallaro, age 75, of Seymour, the beloved wife of the late John Paul Cavallaro, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cambridge, Maine on February 7, 1947, daughter of the late Charles and Winifred Holt Braley. Carrie retired as the Manager of the Stockroom for Better Packages, Co. of Shelton in 2018 and was a lifelong resident of Seymour. She was an avid homemaker who enjoyed gardening and genealogy. Most of all, Carrie loved to spend time with her family and many friends. She will be sadly missed by all, but will remain forever in our hearts. Her loving family includes her caring son Norman C. Cavallaro, with whom she resided, her three loving sisters Valerie Ruggerio of Seymour, Meredith Humphrey and her husband Jim of Danielson and Linda Swaby of Waterbury and several loving nieces and nephews. Carrie was predeceased by her brother Gary Braley. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Carrie's Life will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 9:45 am in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) in Seymour. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 8:30 am until the start of the service. Interment in the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Carrie's memory may be made to The American Lung Association through the funeral home.
