Shirley Ann Dobrydney

Shirley Ann "Mickie" Dobrydney, age 84, of Beacon Falls, the beloved wife of the late Frances Dobrydney, entered into rest peacefully on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was born in Bridgeport on November 20, 1934, daughter of the late William and June Mickna. Shirley was a long time resident of Milford prior to moving to Beacon Falls and had retired from Sikorsky Aircraft after a 35 year career. She loved Italian food and trips to Lancaster, PA. Shirley loved daisies and the holidays, where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all, but will remain forever in our hearts. Her loving family includes her two sons, Glen Alan Henderson and Todd Alan Henderson, her cherished grandson Todd Alan Henderson, Jr. and her three step-sons Frank, Ricky and Tommy Dobrydney and their families. A Memorial Service in Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Monday morning 9:00 am until 11:00 am. All other services are private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial gifts in memory of Shirley may be made to the family to assist in funeral expenses through the funeral home.
