William "Bill" Edward Paecht, age 69, of Seymour has passed away at his home alongside his loving wife Susan on Friday, March 26, 2021. Bill was a proud father of three boys and he adored spending time with his grandson Jacob. He treasured all the friendships he made throughout his years working as a retail manager and later with the Town of Seymour. Bill took pride in serving as chair of the Seymour Republican Town Committee as well as a member of the Seymour Police Board. He was also involved in Little League, Babe Ruth baseball, and the town's park department. Bill is survived by his wife Susan, his three sons Jason Kearney and his wife Heather, Stephen Paecht, and Christopher Paecht and his wife Samantha, his cherished grandson Jacob, his brother Julius "Butch" Paecht and his wife Irene and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Helen, and his sister Ellen who passed in 2019. Friends and relatives may attend a walk through visitation on Friday April 2, 2021 at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Rt. 67, across from Klarides Village) from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitors will be asked to wear masks and adhere to social distancing requirements at all times. It is kindly asked that all visitors enter the funeral home through the rear door and exit through the front door after greeting the family to accommodate all guests. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Bill's memory may be made to Autism Services and Resources Connecticut (ASRC) through the funeral home.
