Albin John Karczmarczyk, 83, of Seymour, beloved husband of the late Pearl Merrill Karczmarczyk, entered into eternal rest, unexpectedly, at his residence, on Sunday, June 26, 2011. He was born in Ansonia on March 1, 1928, son of the late John and Stella Krjiewski Karczmarczyk. Al attended St. Michael Church of Beacon Falls. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and served as a Sergeant with the Artillery Company. He was a retired Sanitarian for the Valley Health Department of Shelton, where he worked for 30 years. He moved to Seymour from Ansonia in 1964, loved being with his family and friends, and loved going to the Mohegan Sun Casino. His loving family includes his two cherished sisters, Nellie Habitz of New Haven and Lena Zwolinski, of Seymour; and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife, Pearl, Al was predeceased by his brother, Charles Karczmarczyk. A Prayer Service in Celebration of Albin's life will be held on FRIDAY, JULY 1 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Route 67 across from Klarides Village), Seymour with Father Leonard Kvedas, Pastor of St. Michael Church of Beacon Falls, officiating. Interment, with full military honors accorded, will be in the family plot in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home on THURSDAY from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
