Anna Forrest

Anna (Nancy) Splan Forrest, age 84, of Seymour, the beloved wife of 39 years of the late Edward Forrest, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Mrs. Forrest was born in Norwalk, daughter of John and Margaret Splan. She lived in Bridgeport for 40 years before moving to Seymour in 2003. Nancy was a graduate of Norwalk High School in 1950 and proudly served for four years in the U.S. Airforce as a WAF Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. She was employed by the Town of Norwalk as an Assistant City Planner for seven years, as Parish Secretary for St. Ambrose Church in Bridgeport and as Case Administrator in Bridgeport Bankruptcy Court for 12 years. Nancy is survived by her daughter Dianne and her husband Conrad Trautmann, her daughter Margaret (Peggy) Forrest, her son Michael Forrest and Kirk Crabe. She is also survived by her three cherished grandchildren Rhiannon Gupta, Kat Trautmann and Danielle Nickle, her brother John Splan, her sister Patricia Anderson, her sister-in-law Sydney Splan and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her brother James Splan. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Nancy's Life will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 9:00 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Church, 35 Washington Ave, Seymour. Interment will be in the family plot at St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Friday, January 8, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
