Austin Brooks

Austin Derwood Brooks, III, age 24, of Oxford entered into rest unexpectedly on Saturday June 30, 2012. He was born in Derby, on February 24, 1988, the beloved son of Austin Jr. and Linda Blakeman Brooks. D.J was currently employed as a construction worker with Earthworks of Oxford. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, car racing, go cart racing, and dirt bike riding. D.J enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved. In addition to his parents his loving family includes the love of his life Michelle Stumpo of Oxford, his two sisters April Brooks of Oxford and Lori Brooks of Naugatuck. He also leaves his two sisters Roxanne and Melissa Conroy of Thorndike, Maine and his brother James Salemme, Jr. of Seymour, and their mother Terri Peabody of Seymour, his grandmother Donna Higgins of Thorndike, Maine and three nephews Wade Brooks, Landon Brooks of Oxford and Ian Ortiz of Naugatuck and two nieces Shana Loper and Sierra Brooks of Oxford. He was predeceased by his sister Darylann Brooks. A Memorial Service in Celebration of the Life of Austin Derwood Brooks, III will be held on Friday July 6, 2012 at 5:00 PM at the Christ Church Quaker Farms, 470 Quaker Farms Road, Oxford with Reverend John Donnelly, Rector officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial gifts in Austin's memory may be made to The Oxford Ambulance Fund, 484 Oxford Road (Route-67), Oxford.
