Bernadine G. (Brandon) Dube., age 81, of Southbury, formerly of Seymour, the beloved wife of the late Donald D. Dube , entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 2, 2017. She was born in Derby on October 28, 1935 the loving daughter of the late Daniel M. and Gertrude Adams Brandon. Bernadine was a devout communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church of Oxford. Bernadine was a secretary having worked for Winchester Repeating Arms, Division of Olin Matheson, Co. of New Haven until she began her role as mother and caregiver. She worked at other points throughout her life but was first and foremost, a caring and dedicated mother and a fierce advocate for her children. Bernadine was selflessly devoted to her family. She embraced life and all it challenges, rising to the occasion with grace and determination. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family and friends. Bernadine was an inspiration and leaves a profound mark. Although she will be greatly missed she will remain forever in our hearts. Her loving family includes her devoted son, Richard D. (Paula) Dube of Sutton, Mass; her two adoring daughters Deborah Dube (Frank, Jr.) Pina of Jay, NY, Lorraine Dube (Chris)Tennal of Breckenridge, CO; two loving brothers Daniel (Susan) Brandon of Seymour and Jerome (Sophie) Brandon of Kansas City, MO, loving sister Geraldine Petronchak of Southbury and two cherished grandchildren Nikaila and Rachel Dube and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three cherished sons Douglas James Dube, David Brian Dube and Kenneth Daniel Dube. A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Bernadine's Life will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Road, Oxford. Interment will follow in the family plot at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. There will be no calling hours. Memorial Gifts in Bernadine's memory may be made to The Fisher House Foundation, through the funeral home.
