Berneice Duda

Berneice Helen Duda, age 70, of Seymour, the beloved daughter of Helen Kacergius Duda and the late Frank M. Duda, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 14, 2012 at her home. She was born in Derby on August 16, 1942. Berneice was a retired United States Customs Import Specialist in Baltimore until her retirement in 1996. She was a devout communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd of Seymour and a 1960 graduate of Seymour High School. She enjoyed doing puzzles, working in her garden and hanging out with her best friend and mother Helen. Berneice will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Her loving family in addition to her mother Helen includes her two caring brothers Frank M. Duda, Jr. and his fianc Sharon DuBail of Southbury and William M. Duda and his wife Mai of Winnabow, NC, and several beloved nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Berneice's life will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 9:00 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St (RT. 67, opposite Klarides Village) Seymour with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour. Interment in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour will follow. Friends and relatives may call on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Berneice's memory to the Church of the Good Shepherd Improvement Fund, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour, CT 06483.
