Bertha Baranauskas

Bertha Yrchik Baranauskas, age 92, of Seymour, the loving wife of the late Anthony Baranauskas, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2011. She was born in Seymour on June 23, 1919 beloved daughter of the late John and Annie Samokar Yrchik. Bertha was a life long resident of Seymour and was a devout communicant of St. Anthony Church of Ansonia. She was an avid homemaker, enjoyed cooking and especially cherished spending time with her loving family. Bertha will be sadly missed by all. Her family includes her beloved daughter Judy MacLennan and her husband Neil of Ridgewood, NJ, her caring sister Helen Kudej of Seymour and her two cherished grandchildren Erin and Kyla MacLennan. Bertha was predeceased by her brothers Stanley Yrchik and Joseph Yrchik and her sister Wanda Paulukaitis. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Bertha's Life will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 9:00 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 am at St. Anthony Church, 199 North Main Street, Ansonia. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
