Beulah Frances Renker, age 90, of Oxford, beloved wife of the late George Alfred Renker, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. Beulah was born August 16, 1922, in Derby, the daughter of the late Cyrus J. and Katherine Dahinden Shelton. She was an active member of The Oxford United Church of Christ- Congregational, where she was a former Deacon of the Church, a member of the choir, and Sages. Beulah was the owner of Beulah Renker Real Estate of Oxford which she founded in 1978. She was a member of The Valley Board of Realtors and served as its president from 1989-1990. She was the local chairman of The New York Fresh Air Fund for many years. Beulah was a Girl Scout Leader of Troop #1 of Oxford. She was the local chairman of the American Heart Association. She was a member of the Oxford Republican Town Committee and served as Registrar of Voters for the Town of Oxford for many years. She was also a former member of the Oxford Library Board and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Center Fire Company of Oxford. Beulah enjoyed serving her church and community and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends and will remain forever in our hearts. Her loving family includes her two devoted sons Richard G. Renker and his wife Lorrie of Williamson, NY and Frederick D. Renker and his wife Kathy of Ansonia, two cherished grandchildren Mark Renker and his wife Kelli of Attleboro, Ma, and Jennifer Renker of Williamson,NY and a great-grandson Logan Renker of Attleboro,Ma., and several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her cherished granddaughter Shannon Renker Lelacheur and her two beloved sisters Florence Smith and Jeannette Ives. A Memorial Service in Celebration of Beulah's Life will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 11:00 am DIRECTLY at The Oxford United Church of Christ- Congregational, 3 Academy Rd., Oxford,CT 06478, with The Reverend Gale E. Grayson, Pastor officiating. Inurnment will follow in the family plot at Southford Cemetery, Oxford. There will be no calling hours .
