Candida T. Mcgee

Candida T.( Poppa) McGee, age 78 of Seymour, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Candida was born in Bridgeport on December 24, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Candida Antonelli Poppa. She worked for The City of Bridgeport in the ITS Department, having retired after 25 years. Candida was very involved in The Democratic Town Committee in City of Bridgeport and was also a devout catholic. She enjoyed shopping, ceramics , reading and most of all socializing. Candida will be deeply missed by her family and friends but will always remain forever in our hearts. Candida's loving family includes her devoted daughter Kim Jack and her husband Douglas of Oxford, her two loving granddaughters Tara Lynn Viglione and her husband Edward and Samantha Morgan Jack, her cherished great-grandson Elliott Viglione, her former husband John McGee, Jr., as well as several nieces and nephews. Candida's beloved daughter Candice Ann McGee Mahoney predeceased her on October 14, 2021. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 11:00 am in the family plot at Gate of Heaven Cemetery , Trumbull. At the request of the family, all in attendance are kindly asked to wear masks and adhere to social distancing. Calling hours have been omitted.
