Charles "Charlie" Fuller

Charles "Charlie" Fuller, Sr., age 72, of Seymour, entered into eternal rest peacefully on April 1, 2019 at his home with his loved ones at his side. He was born in Bridgeport on November 2, 1946, beloved son of the late Vincent and Marie Blight Fuller. Charlie served in the United States Navy as Postmaster of the guided missile destroyer the USS Tattnall being deployed to the Mediterranean Sea visiting Northern Africa, Italy, France, Spain, Greece and Turkey before returning to Charleston, SC. He was a truck driver for UPS, Quinn Freight Lines and retired in 2008 from Stevens Lumber, Monroe CT. Charlie was an avid sports fan who absolutely loved the New York Yankees, and followed the UCONN Women's Basketball team. He also watched NASCAR every Sunday and rooted for the Indianapolis Colts. Most of all, Charlie loved to spend time with his family and many friends. He will be sadly missed by all, but will remain forever in our hearts. Charlie's loving family includes his son Charles Fuller, Jr. of Seymour, his two daughters Christine Fuller of Ansonia and Jasmine Pagan of Bridgeport, his caretaker and former wife Olivine Fuller of Seymour, his sister-in-law Marie Duhancik of Seymour, his two brothers Vincent Fuller, Jr. and his wife Rebecca of St. Thomas USVI and Robert Fuller and Grete Christiansen of Martha's Vineyard and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service with Military Honors accorded in Celebration of Charlie's Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour. Visitation for friends and family will begin at 1:00 pm. All other services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial gifts in Charlie's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
