David Ericson

David Curtis Ericson, age 63, of Naugatuck, formerly of Oxford, beloved husband of Diane Mickelsen Ericson of 42 years, entered into rest on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 2, 1946, son of the late Alvin and Marjorie Davison Ericson. David was a devout member of the Oxford United Church of Christ-Congregational and sang in the church choir. He was a graduate of Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, Class of 1968, receiving a degree in Computer Math. David was the Manager of Remote Access Systems at United Technologies Corporation in Newington. He was a Boy Scout Leader of Troop One in Oxford and was also a Boy Scout in his youth. He was also an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, UCONN Women's Basketball and NASCAR Racing. David enjoyed sunsets in Oregon. He loved being with his family and many friends. David's loving family, besides his wife Diane, includes his twin sons Swen David Ericson and his wife Cindy of Reston, VA and Michael Neil Ericson and his wife Susan of Ashland, MA, his daughter Ami Caroline Tuckerman and her husband Russ of Naugatuck, his sisters Nancy Wahlin of New York City and Karen Raz of Boling Brook, IL and his three cherished grandchildren Jonathan, Joseph and Justin Ericson. A Memorial Service in Celebration of David's Life will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Oxford United Church of Christ-Congregational, 3 Academy Road, Oxford, CT 06478 with the Rev. Dr. Bonnie Bardot, Interim Pastor, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
