Dean L. Miller, 53, of Seymour passed away suddenly at his home. Born February 25, 1970, in New Haven, CT, Dean was the devoted son of Donna Miller of Seymour, CT and Dennis Miller (Alyce) of Myrtle Beach, SC. After graduating from Seymour High School, Dean went on to get his CDL license from Allstate Commercial Driver Training School. His first job was with Oxford Oil and the Biondi family, taking great pride in delivering oil to his customers, always with a smile on his face, no matter the weather or hour. He was currently employed with O & G Industries in Southbury and New Milford. Prior to working at O & G, Dean also worked for many years at the Dairy Delite, fondly known as Charlie's, in Woodbury, even taking a course in ice cream making at Penn State. Dean had a big smile and even bigger heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends and family. Dean will be deeply missed by his parents, his beloved wife of 24 years, Leighan White-Miller, his sister Denyse and brother-in-law John Rogers of Seymour. In addition, he will be missed by his mother-in-law Wendy White of Woodbury, sister in-law and brother-in-law Susan and Luis Vaz of California. Dean was the loving uncle of JJ and Daniel Rogers and Solange, Johanna, and Cristiano Vaz. He was also loved and will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His absence will be felt the most by his adoring dogs Clover and Daisy. Dean's happiest moments were spent with friends and family. He loved riding motorcycles with his father and riding bikes with Class Cycles, either on or off-road. He loved taking his dogs to the dog park, or for ice cream and watching his nephew's sporting events. He was predeceased by his grandparents Herbert and Clara Johnson and Carl and Hilda Miller, and his father-in-law, Charles White. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Miller-Ward Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. A Memorial Service in memory of Dean will take place at 2:30 pm. All are welcome to attend and pay their respects to a man who will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and willingness to help others. Donations in Dean's memory can be made to Coco's Animal Rescue of Seymour or to CPR of Southbury, both through the funeral home.
