Dominick Fazzari

FAZZARI, DOMINICK V. "Don" of Huntington, Ct. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Don was born in N. Y. City on July 1, 1939 to his late parents Catherine and Joseph Fazzari. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Hunter College, he taught science for several years at the Unquawa School, a private school in Fairfield, Ct. Don thereafter earned a Masters degree in Psychology at St. John's University and obtained the position as a School Psychologist for the Stratford Public Schools where he remained until retirement. In his years of retirement he pursued his love of travel, mainly to historical places, with his long term partner, Kevin Miller. Don was an avid reader of many different genres with a keen interest in politics. He loved nature and animals, especially his dog Becky, who was along with him in the car wherever he went. Don had a gregarious personality with a warm and caring nature towards his friends and family. He was always ready to tell his latest joke or a funny story, with a glow in his eyes and that engaging laughing smile. Don is survived by his longtime companion Kevin Miller, his sister Kathleen A. Pollina of Saint James, NY, nephew Christopher Pollina, niece Kimberly Hutter and his great nieces and nephew Allison, Danielle and Joey Pollina and the twins Kyla and Lexi Hutter. A visitation will be held at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street,"Rt. 67" Opposite Klarides Village, Seymour, Ct. on Sunday, July 22, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated "directly" at Saint Lawrence R.C. Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Huntington, on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 10:00 A.M.
