Edward W. Terwilliger

Edward William Terwilliger of Oxford, CT completed his life journey to his eternal resting place on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Ed was born on June 21, 1941 in Bridgeport, CT. He was the son of the late Allen and Emma (Koberna) Terwilliger. He grew up in Bridgeport, CT and graduated from Central High School in 1959. Ed married his wife Olga in 1968, living together in Oxford, CT for 51 years until her passing on February 8, 2023. Ed is survived by his daughter Ellen Terwilliger, son David (Robin) Terwilliger, grandchildren Saylor and Rowan Terwilliger, Sister Gail (Gerald) Verrilli, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother William Terwilliger. Ed was a kind man who enjoyed talking to anyone on a wide variety of topics. He was proud of his time spent in the United States Army and after his service would go on to work 40 years for the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company(A&P). While not working he enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing with family and friends, caring for his beautiful front yard and in recent years proudly cruising around the streets and numerous car shows throughout the state in his vintage 1961 Corvette. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday April 18, from 2:30pm- 5:30pm at the Miller Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour, CT. Burial will be private. The family requests in lieu of flowers to send donations to Connecticut Audubon Society or Oxford United Church of Christ, through the funeral home. Cemetery Details Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
