Elaine Norton

Elaine Joyce Godshall Norton, age 91, of Oxford, the beloved wife of Joseph William Norton, entered into rest on Thursday April 7, 2011 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was born in Derby on May 20, 1919, daughter of the late Raymond and Josephine Douillette Godshall. Elaine was a communicant of Christ Church Quaker Farms of Oxford, and enjoyed cooking, quilting and embroidery. She was a lifelong resident of Oxford. Elaine will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Her loving family, in addition to her husband Joseph, includes her son James J. Norton and his wife Bernadette of Beacon Falls, her three daughters Elaine Fiordelisi and her husband Salvatore of Shelton, Judy-Jo Barbash and her husband Michael of Oxford and Priscilla Norton of Naugatuck, her eight cherished grandchildren, seventeen cherished great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Raymond Godshall. The funeral service and interment will be private.
