Frances Mary Sakal

Frances Mary Sakal, age 75, of Seymour, the beloved wife of the late Joseph Sakal, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2017. She was born in Bridgeport on July 10, 1942, daughter of the late Frank and Stella Victoria Boken. Frances was a Surgical Technician and a Librarian before becoming a devoted and loving wife to her husband Joseph and mother to her children Kenneth and Deborah. She will be sadly missed by all but will remain forever in our hearts. Her loving family includes her son Kenneth Sakal and his wife Elmarie, her daughter Deborah Zmuda and her husband Michael, her brother Thomas Boken and his wife Sharon, her sisters Margaret Tomlinson and her husband Robert and Katherine Gaudio, who was also her best friend, and her cherished grandchildren Michael Zmuda, Ryan Zmuda, Collin Sakal and Connor Sakal. A Memorial Service in Honor of Frances will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:30 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the start of the service. All other services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
