Gail A. Perkowski

Gail A. Perkowski, age 73, of Oxford, the beloved wife of Frank Perkowski for 52 years, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Derby on February 18, 1942, daughter of the late Stanley M. and Marjorie Dorney Baldwin. Gail was a devout communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church of Naugatuck. She was an avid homemaker who enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching UCONN basketball games. Gail moved to Oxford from Seymour in 1964. She loved the times spent at her Maine cottage on Damariscotta Lake. Gail will be sadly missed by her family and friends and will forever be in their hearts. Her loving family includes her son Michael J. Perkowski and his wife Barbara of Plantsville, CT, her daughter Deborah A. Engstrom and her husband Andrew of Seymour, and four cherished grandchildren Lauren, Amanda, Kevin and Patrick. She was predeceased by her brother Paul A. Baldwin. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Gail's life will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 9:00 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (opposite Klarides Village, Rt. 67) Seymour with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road (RT 63), Naugatuck. Interment will be in the Spring at the family plot in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Monday morning from 8:30 until the funeral procession leaves for church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Gail's memory may be made to Poodle Rescue Connecticut or to the Oxford Center Fire House through the funeral home.
