George H. Farrell

George Henry Farrell, Retired, age 73, of Seymour, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at his residence. George was born in Bridgeport, CT., on July 27, 1948, to the late George and Sally Tierney Farrell. He attended Notre Dame High School in Bridgeport, CT. He then went on to serve in the Air Force for six years. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, he became a Wilton Police Officer, where he served for thirty-three years achieving the rank of Sergeant and retired in 2007 as a Detective. He attended the Church of the Good Shepherd of Seymour. He loved playing pool, cleaning his car, watching western movies, and gardening. George especially loved being with his family and friends. George will be missed by all and will forever remain in our hearts George is survived by his loving companion, Carolann Sylvester, his two sons Larry Farrell (Colleen) of Prospect, and Brian Farrell (Rahassan) of Jupiter, FL., his daughter Kimberly Caggiano (Tony) of Youngsville, NC., his brother Joseph Farrell, his sisters Sally Farrell Lyddy, Kathleen Farrell Bernarducci, and Hillary Farrell Carr, and his grandchildren Mikayla and Samantha Farrell, Lorenzo, Kingston and Idaea Farrell, Dylan and Aiden Caggiano, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers David and Thomas Farrell. a sister Marianne Farrell Sullivan. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 24 at 11:00 am (Directly) at Church of the Good Shepherd (St Nicholas Parish), 135 Mountain Rd, Seymour. We will have Bagpipes, a Catholic Service, and military honors. Interment will be held privately. Due to COVID, there will not be a reception following the ceremony.
