Gertrude Walsh

Gertrude Frances Walsh, age 88, of Ansonia, formerly of Derby and Seymour, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Hilltop Healthcare Center of Ansonia surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Derby on April 7, 1922 beloved daughter of the late George and Catherine Vogel Walsh. Gertrude was a communicant of St. Anthony Church of Ansonia. She retired in 1975 from Better Packages of Shelton. Gertrude was recognized by the Doyle Senior Center of Derby for her caring and help at the Center. She loved playing Bingo and going to the Casino. Gertrude loved spending time with her family and many friends and will be sadly missed by all. Her loving family includes her great niece Patricia Krause of Stratford and several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Harold W. Fagan, her cherished sister Catherine Gabriel and her beloved nephew Mark H. Fagan. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Gertrude's life will be held on Monday, FEBRUARY 14, 2011 at 9:30 am at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, (Route 67 across from Klarides Village), Seymour, CT with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 am at St. Anthony Church, 199 North Main Street, Ansonia. Spring interment will be in the family plot at Lawn Cemetery, Huntington. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
