Gloria Flaherty

Gloria Flaherty, age 90, of Seymour, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Griffin Hospital. She was born in Derby on July 5, 1921, beloved daughter of the late Charles and Susan McNish Flaherty. Gloria was a Customer Service Representative for Kerite, Co. for many years and had also worked for Ansonia Copper. She enjoyed gardening, days trips with her friends and going to the casino. Gloria was a long time volunteer for both the Seymour Civil Defense and the Griffin Hospital. She will be sadly missed by all she leaves behind, especially her many loving cousins. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Gloria's life will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 9:15 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour. A Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour will follow at 10:00 am. Interment will be in the family plot at Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 8:30 am until the start of the service at 9:15 am.
