Gloria Gaudet

Gloria Anita Gaudet, 85, of Seymour, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 30 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was born on July 1, 1926, in Derby, beloved daughter of the late Cyrus and Elmina Babineau Gaudet. Gloria was a retired secretary and payroll clerk for the Kerite Company of Seymour. She was a lifelong resident of Seymour and a devout communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd. She was an avid shopper and enjoyed travelling, having visited Hawaii, Holland and Aruba and many other countries. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her loving family includes her companion, Floyd Abbott of Seymour; her devoted brother, Norman Gaudet of Seymour; her loving sister, Rita Lucas and her husband, William of Rock Island, IL; several loving nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by her beloved brother, Roger Gaudet. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4, 2012 (DIRECTLY) at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour at 10:00 am with Father Edward S. Jaksina, Pastor, officiating. Interment in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the MILLER-WARD FUNERAL HOME, 260 Bank Street, Seymour (across from Klarides Village) on Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
