Helen Kudej

Helen Kudej, age 93, of Seymour, the beloved wife of over 50 years to the late Edward Kudej, Sr., passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2015. She was born on February 22, 1922 and was the last surviving of the 5 children of Stanley and Anna Yrchik. Helen had many passions including UCONN basketball, the NY Yankees, swimming, walking, cooking and baking. She had a deep love of all animals. Helen will be sadly missed by her family and friends and will forever be in their hearts. Helen leaves behind her devoted son Edward and his wife Mary and the loves of her life, grandchildren Ali and Kristy, who she cherished and adored. A special thank you to her good friend of many years Joanne Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Helen's life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive, Ansonia. Interment in the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
