Helen Teresa Federowicz

Helen Teresa Federowicz, age 95, the beloved wife of the late Henry Federowicz, entered into eternal rest peacefully on October 31, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. She was born on December 11, 1925, loving daughter of the late Vincent and Anna Malinauskas. Helen attended Seymour High School, was a homemaker, babysitter and caregiver of foster children. She was an admirer of arts and crafts and liked to crochet and knit. Helen loved the voice of Engelbert Humperdinck and attending his concerts whenever she was able. She was a lover of animals and nature and loved feeding the birds and making sure stray cats that ventured her way were taken care of. Most of all, Helen loved to spend time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all, but will remain forever in our hearts. Her loving family includes her beloved son, Jesse and his wife, Penny (Marsilio), her brother Richard Malinauskas, her sisters Violet Johnson and Beatrice Matthews, her cherished grandchildren Michael and Brianna Federowicz and several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her brother Walter Malinauskas and her two sisters, Carol Kostant and Florence Roberts. A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Helen's Life will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd, St. Nicholas Parish, 135 Mountain Road in Seymour. Interment in the family plot at St. Michael Cemetery in Derby will follow.
