Irene Ann Grusz

Irene Ann Grusz, age 84, of Seymour, the loving wife of Walter Grusz, entered into eternal rest peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 20, 2018. She was born in Derby on August 16, 1934, daughter of the late Walter and Lucia Lamorski. Irene was a devout communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd of Seymour. She worked as a Secretary for Waterman Bic of Seymour and for Jack Page Advertising of Milford. Prior to retiring, Irene drove a school bus for Hugo Trevlin Bus Company. She was a graduate of Seymour High School and was an avid homemaker. Irene loved horse races and going to the casino with her friends. She loved to travel with her husband Walter to places like Cape Cod, Puerto Rico, Florida and Arizona to name a few. Irene will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts. In addition to her husband Walter, Irene leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Cheryl Russell (William) of Ontario, Canada and her two cherished granddaughters Caitlin Russell and Ashley Hobberlin of Seymour. She was predeceased by her daughter Lucinda "Cindy" Grusz. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Irene's Life will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 10:00 DIRECTLY at St. Nicholas Parish (Church of the Good Shepherd), 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Interment in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery Seymour will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in memory of Irene may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital through the funeral home.
