John David Simons

John David Simons, age 60, of Southington, formerly of Seymour, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2015 in Hamden. He was born in Conneaut, Ohio on April 26, 1954, beloved son of the late William and Claire Merlino Simons. John had a great love for animals, especially his cats. He was a graduate of Seymour High School and worked as a Home Health Aide. John will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. His loving family includes his brother James Simons and his wife Terry of Southington, his sister Claire Rillstone and her husband Don of Seymour, his niece Samantha Allard and his two cousins Peggy Murphy and Monica Deegan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, January, 17, 2015 at 10:00am at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Interment in the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery will follow. Friends and relatives may call at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour, on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
