Joseph E. Pannone Profile Photo

It is with great sadness that Joseph E. Pannone, age 85, the beloved husband of Mary Giantis of 56 years, passed peacefully on June 19th with his loving wife Mary by his side. Joe was born in Manhattan and was predeceased by his mother Nancy Scavone Pannone. He graduated from Shelton High School in 1954. Joe was a Seymour resident for 53 years. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his brother-in-law Charles Giantis. Joe did his civic duty in the early 60's in the Army National Guard. Working hard is what Joe enjoyed and he never missed a day of work at B.F. Goodrich until the fire and then he worked at New Haven Copper. After he retired, he was a crossing guard for Seymour Public Schools which he enjoyed. Joe loved sports and he never missed a Yankee or New York Giants game. He also loved all types of music which he always had on at home. Most of all, he was very proud of his Sicilian heritage. In his younger years, fishing was what Joe enjoyed. Mary would like to thank Joe's nurses Tammy and Millika at Griffin Hospital for being so caring and to Miller Ward for being so helpful during this sad time. Also to John and Sue Duke for always being very compassionate towards Joe. All services were held privately by the family. Memorial gifts in Joe's memory may be made to The Emil Senger Post 10 American Legion, through the funeral home. Cemetery Details Private
