Joseph Savage,

Joseph Michael Savage, Jr., age 56, of Ansonia, formerly of Oxford, the beloved husband of the late Dianna Bierwirth Savage, entered into rest on Monday, April 16, 2012 in Oxford. He was born in Derby on January 19, 1956, son of Ella Staff Savage of Oxford and the late Joseph M. Savage, Sr. who recently passed away. Joe was an Automobile Salesman for Fitzpatrick's Chrysler/Jeep , Lee Partyka Chevrolet and most recently worked at Colonial Toyota of Milford. He has been a resident of Ansonia for the last three years. Joe attended the Oxford United Church of Christ-Congregational. He loved photography and was a semi-professional photographer. Joe loved antique cars and was an avid NASCAR fan. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Joe's loving family in addition to his mother Ella includes his caring daughter Jessica Lee Savage of Stamford, his loving brother David Lee Savage of Ansonia, his devoted sister Jo Ann Brenneman (Alan) of Ansonia and several cherished cousins. A Graveside Memorial Service in Celebration of Joseph's life will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Brookside Cemetery, Edmonds Road, Oxford with the Rev. Dr. Bonnie Bardot, Interim Pastor of the Oxford United Church of Christ-Congregational, officiating. Joe and his beloved father, the late Joseph M. Savage, Sr., will have their services together. There will be no calling hours. Memorial gifts in Joseph's memory may be made to his mother and late father's favorite charity St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
