Judith Koonce

Judith Jean Koonce, age 67, of Seymour, the beloved wife of Norwood Koonce, entered into rest on Friday, September 24, 2010 at her home. She was born in New Jersey on November 22, 1942, daughter of Betty Reed French of Lakeville, CT and the late William French. Judith was formerly a member of the sales department of Happy House of Milford. She also was a former Case Worker for the State of Connecticut Welfare Department. Judith has been a resident of Seymour for twelve years moving here from Milford. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and loved decorating. She will be sadly missed by her family, especially her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Judith's loving family in addition to her husband Norwood includes her son Jonathan Kyer of West Haven and her daughters Laurie Kyer of Ansonia and Jennifer Williams of Canaan, CT, her brothers William French of Beverly, MA, Daniel French of Woodstock, CT and Jeffrey French of Milford, her sister Leslie French of Lakeville, CT, her six cherished grandchildren, her two cherished great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two daughters Tracey Mandeville and Robin Gallaher. All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
