Julia Nelson

Julia Nelson, age 95 of Oxford, beloved wife of the late Edward Carl Nelson, Sr. entered into rest on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Griffin Hospital Hospice. She was born in Ansonia, on October 16, 1917, the daughter of the late Peter and Femia Demanchyk Adam. She was an independent woman and had retired from the State of Connecticut as a Nurse's Aide at Southbury Training School. She was a loving mother and was a member of the Oxford Senior Center and has been a resident of Oxford since 1945. Julia will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by 4 children, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers. Services and internment will be private at the convenience of the family at St. Peter's Cemetery, Oxford. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Julia's memory to The Oxford Senior Center, 10 Old Church Rd., Oxford, CT 06478.
