Justin G. Gittings

Justin Gabriel Gittings, age 31, of Meriden CT passed away on September 23, 2024.

Born on April 1, 1993 at Griffin Hospital, Justin was the loving son of Elizabeth Politis and Gary Gittings. He was predeceased by his brother CJ Gittings.

A resident of Seymour most of his life, Justin was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 11 of Seymour. After graduating from Seymour High School in 2011 he attended the Allstate Commercial Driving School in Seymour and became a Class A CDL Driver.

Justin became part of the R & S Trucking family in 2021 as a company driver. He was able to quickly perfect the skills needed to become an integral part of the company and was one of only a few drivers trusted to haul cross country loads. Justin and his dog Piper are an irreplaceable part of the R & S family and will be truly missed.

Having a passion for life, Justin enjoyed riding and showing his horses, his motorcycle, jetskiing, Nascar and showing his antique car. He was a devoted dad to his dog Piper who traveled with him daily in his truck.

Justin’s life was too short, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by him understand that his existence and the imprint he left on our hearts far exceeds the quantity of time that he stayed here on earth.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 5 from 9am to 1pm at Miller Macari Family Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, Seymour, CT 06483. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the PNA Park, 171 N Plains Industrial Rd, Wallingford, CT 06492

Anyone interested in participating in the convoy procession of trucks, motorcycles and cars from Seymour to PNA Park is encouraged to do so.
