Kim Boczar

Kim Boczar (Malloy), 53, of Seymour, CT, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 15, 2017. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, on July 21, 1964, Kim is the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Ford) Malloy, and sister of the late Brian and Dennis Malloy. Kim is survived by her husband Bruce and son Matthew, whom she meant the world to, her brother Thomas Malloy, and his wife Nancy and son Sean of Collierville, TN. Kim graduated from Downingtown High School in Downingtown, PA, and attended Immaculata College in Immaculata, PA. Kim worked at GE Medical Systems in King of Prussia, PA, prior to the birth of her son, before transitioning to the most difficult job, a stay at home mom. Kim and Bruce resided in four states before moving, with Matthew, to Seymour, in 2002. While in Seymour, Kim taught CCD for Church of the Good Shepherd, started and ran the school store at Seymour Middle School, and chaperoned as many school functions as possible for her son Matthew. After her family, Kim's greatest joys in life were cooking and the Philadelphia Phillies, both passions passed down from her mother, and vacationing in Clearwater, FL, with her husband and son. Those who were fortunate to know Kim will debate what they will miss more; her sense of humor or baking. Both touched more lives than can ever be counted. If not baking, Kim loved traveling and planning future trips, decorating her family's home in Clearwater, FL, reading, knitting, music, watching and critiquing cooking shows, and spending time with family and friends. However, nothing could surpass her love for her husband and son, and the joy she received from making sure they never went without anything in life. Kim will be missed by all and her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her husband and son, and in the memories of anyone who tasted her cooking. The world deserves a kitchen like her's. Friends may greet Kim's family at The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St., Seymour, CT 06483, on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 8:30-10:30 AM. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Kim's Life will take place at the funeral home at 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM, at St. Augustine's Church, 35 Washington Ave., Seymour, CT 06483. Interment will be held privately by the family.
