Kimberly Outlaw, age 29, of Oxford, entered into rest peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Masonicare Health Center of Wallingford. She was born in Bridgeport on July 31, 1983, the beloved daughter of Gary and Deborah Husar Outlaw. Kim received a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Southern Connecticut State University and was employed at Quaker Farms Elementary School. She was a Second Degree Reiki practitioner and a Black Belt in Karate Kim enjoyed yoga, hiking, photography, face painting and reading, and she was a master at making beautiful pieces out of recycled materials. Kim loved to spend time with her dog Shadow and relax on Lake Zoar on the family boat. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Kim's loving family, in addition to her parents Gary and Deborah, include her loving brother Jason Outlaw of Oxford, her caring grandparents Robert and Jean Husar of Shelton and Dorothy Outlaw of Romance, Arkansas, her cherished aunts Beverly Outlaw and her husband Roger of Oxford, Pamela Lucarelle of Woodbridge, and Cheryl Wyskiel and her husband Robert of Seymour, her loving cousins Allison, Ashley, Brian, Brittney, Lauren, Carrie, John, Jeffrey, and Bonnie, and the family dogs Abby and Kenzy. Kim also leaves behind her lifelong friend Alarie Osborn of Easton, Maryland, and dear friend Kyle Schleich of Terryville who helped bring many of Kim's creative ideas to reality. The family would like to say a special thank you to Reiki Master Jean Morris who came into Kim's life at a most critical time and to her many friends and relatives who helped Kim on her journey. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Kim's life will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Rt 67, across from Klarides Village), Seymour. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the start of the service at 7 p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
