Lawrence Bernard Kelley

Lawrence Bernard Kelley, age 66, of Seymour, the beloved husband of 43 years to Cathy Coolis Kelley, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bridgeport on April 23, 1953, beloved son of the late Charles and Grace Bergstrom Kelley. Larry proudly served his country for 12 years in the United States Navy and loved the military. He greatly enjoyed World War II movies, history, building models and was a great fan of Elvis. Larry was a private person who worked hard to support his family. Coming from a family 0f 16, he knew there was nothing more important than family and he cherished every minute he spent with his. Larry will be sadly missed by his family and many friends but will remain forever in our hearts. Larry's loving family in addition to his wife Cathy includes his son Michael Kelley, his two daughters Maureen Kelley-Gliford and Melanie Kelley, his four cherished grandchildren Alexander, Emeline, Kirea and Audry, several brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service in Celebration of Larry's Life with full military honors accorded will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Mountain Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Ave., Bridgeport (follow signs for #1) at 10:00 am. Friends and relatives may call at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 5:30 pm until the start of the service at 7:00 pm.
