Lisa Ramona Matejek

Lisa Ramona Matejek, age 61, of Beacon Falls, the beloved wife of 30 years to Donald Matejek, Sr., entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Derby on July 11, 1958, loving daughter of Carl and Betty Fetyko Dahn. Lisa was a graduate of Seymour High School and a long time Seymour resident prior to moving to Beacon Falls in 1990. She was employed by the Southbury Training School and the Naugatuck Public School system as a Special Education Aide. Lisa was a dependable friend, mother and wife, never missing one sports game, birthday or family event. She loved to bake her famous cheese cakes and enjoyed trips to the family cabin in Maine. Lisa loved to go antique shopping and tag sale hunting. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and many friends, especially her cherished grandchildren. Lisa will be sadly missed by all, but will remain forever in our hearts. Her loving family in addition to her husband Donald includes her two sons, Donald (Matt) Matejek, Jr. and his wife Amy of Monroe and Stephen Dahn and his wife Dee of Woodbury, her daughter Taya Matejek of Beacon Falls, her three brothers Carl Dahn and his wife Joann of Florida, Joseph Dahn and his wife Karrie of Seymour, Lance Dahn of Seymour, her sister Kit Aleksiewicz and her husband Robert of Prospect, her six cherished grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives may pay their final respects on Wednesday, February 5 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Lisa's Life will be held on Thursday, February 6 at 11:00am. Interment in the family plot Jack's Hill Cemetery in Oxford will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Lisa's memory may be made to the Special Olympics through the funeral home.
