Margaret L. Munigle-Kunsch

Margaret L. Munigle-Kunsch, aged 73, passed away peacefully on January 1st, 2024. She was born on December 14, 1950 in Bridgeport, CT and is predeceased by parents Robert and Margaret "Peggy" Munigle of Stratford, CT. Beloved wife of 43 years, she is survived by spouse Daniel and children Ian (Christina Crowe) Kunsch and Meredith (David) White and grandchild Flora Margaret White, as well as siblings Robert Munigle, Sally Whitt and Jean Marie Einig. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She graduated with a B.S. in Theater and Fine Arts from Syracuse University in 1972, where she made several lifelong friends. She later earned a Masters of Social Work from UCONN while juggling work and being a devoted wife and mother. The majority of her career was spent working for the Connecticut Department of Children and Families where she was well respected and admired. She retired as a Supervisor for the Probate Unit and commented that she had the best workers, many of whom remained close friends. Margaret loved to travel, read and spend time with family and friends and retirement afforded her these pursuits. She formed new friendships, especially at the Riverwalk Athletic Club and traveled far and wide including Scotland, Scandinavia, Italy, Russia and Hawaii. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Friends and family are invited to calling hours at Miller Ward Funeral Home; 260 Bank Street,(RT.67, Across from Klarides Village) Seymour, CT 06483 on Saturday, January 6th from 10am-12pm. A Funeral Service in Remembrance of Margaret's life will follow at 12:00 pm, with Tim Leggett, Chaplain from AccentCare Hospice, officiating. Interment will be held privately by the family.
