Mary Louise Callahan Guillotte, age 87, of Oxford, the beloved wife of the late William J. Guillotte, Jr., entered into eternal rest peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at St. Mary Hospital in Waterbury. She was born Stamford on January 17, 1930, daughter of the late John and Louise Sutton Callahan. Mary was an Oxford resident for over 45 years and was a devout communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Seymour. She received her BS-N in Nursing and worked for the Naugatuck VNA for over 20 years where she was beloved by her patients. Mary was an avid fan of the New York Mets, enjoyed knitting and genealogy and liked to spend time with her family, especially her late husband Bill. She will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts. Mary's loving family includes her son William J. Guillotte and his wife Jennifer of Cheshire, her daughter Louise Guillotte of Winthrop, MA, her grandchildren Isabelle Guillotte and William Cameron Guillotte, four nieces and 7 nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John Francis Callahan, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Mary's life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:30 am DIRECTLY at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 133 Mountain Road, Seymour. Burial at the State Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown with her husband Bill will take place in the Spring. There will be no visitation. Memorial gifts in Mary's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or to VITAS Healthcare through the funeral home.
