Mary Ruggerio

Mary Ann Salemme Ruggerio, age 86, of Derby, formerly of Seymour, the beloved wife of the late Anthony A. Ruggerio, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 peacefully at Griffin Hospital, Derby, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Derby on October 18, 1924, beloved daughter of the late Michael and Theresa Salemme. Mary attended St. Augustine Church of Seymour and was formerly employed by the New England Cap Company of Seymour. She was a Seymour resident for 47 years. Mary was an avid homemaker and enjoyed trips to the Connecticut casinos. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family includes her three sons Peter Ruggerio of Shelton, Anthony Ruggerio of Seymour and Robert Ruggerio of Ansonia, her daughters Linda Adamson of Derby, Maryann Frohn of Arkansas and Lori Wright of Seymour, her brother John Salemme of Ft. Myers, FL, her sister Elizabeth (Dolly) Mica of Huntington, thirteen cherished grandchildren, fifteen cherished great grand children and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Ann Rose, her son John Anthony Ruggerio, Sr., her brother Michael Salemme and her sisters Ann Gaudino and Susan Cecere. The services and interment in Union Cemetery, Seymour were private. The Miller-Ward Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Seymour is caring for the family.
