Michael Barbash, age 71, of Oxford, the beloved husband of 49 years of Judy-Jo Norton Barbash, entered into rest peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born in New Haven on July 31, 1946, son of the late Michael and Edith Beckert Barbash. Michael was a Machinist and Mold Maker for Jemco Corporation of Beacon Falls for 46 years prior to his retirement and proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a long time Oxford resident and an avid gardener who enjoyed working in his yard. Michael loved to travel with his wife and together, they visited my countries around the world including Italy, England, Spain, France and Caribbean. They also enjoyed trips all across the United States visiting historic Civil War battle fields and National Parks as well as Cape Cod and Newport. Michael was a fan of the New York Mets and the UCONN Huskies and greatly enjoyed crossword puzzles, which he regularly did in pen. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends but will remain forever in our hearts.
