Milada Barbara Mraz, age 85, of Oxford, the beloved wife of 63 year of George J. Mraz, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Nove Zamky, Slovakia on December 2, 1924, daughter of the late Karel and Barbora Blaha. Milada was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church of Oxford. Prior to moving to Oxford 5 years ago, Milada was a resident of Chester, New Hampshire. She loved embroidery, playing the piano, skiing, gardening and swimming. Milada will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Her loving family, in addition to her loving husband George, includes her beloved son Jerry Mraz and his wife Debra of Oxford, her devoted daughter Magda Mraz of New Haven, her loving sister Jarmila Slaukova of Bratiskava, Slovakic and her cherished grandchildren Jody Mraz, Lynn Mraz and Jason Mraz. She was predeceased by her brother Karl Blaha and her sister Tludmila Raticova. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Milada's life will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 260 Bank St (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Oxford. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 until 1:00 pm.
