Nellie Trynaski Fatek, age 94, of Seymour, the beloved wife of the late William H. Fatek, Sr, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the Griffin Hospital in Derby, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Seymour on May 11, 1916, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Magda Trynaski. Nellie was a devout communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd and was a life long resident of Seymour. She was a long time employee of both Uniroyal and the Schick Company. Nellie enjoyed cooking and especially loved to entertain her family and many friends. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nellie will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her loving family includes her beloved son William H. Fatek, Jr and his wife Virginia of Preston, her devoted daughter Elizabeth M. Raucci and her husband Gerald of New Haven, her four caring sisters Valerie Kieras, Mildred Mietelski, Carol McIntire and Gertrude Trynaski, her 5 cherished grandchildren Elise, Daniel, Matthew, Katherine and Anne, her 3 cherished great grandchildren Zoe, Grace and Nate and several loving nieces and nephews. Nellie was predeceased by her sisters Francis Taylor and Anne Zeneski. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Nellie's life will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, opposite Klarides Village) Seymour with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Interment in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour, will be in the spring. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 am until the start of the service at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Expressions of Sympathy in Nellie's memory may be made to Griffin Hospital Hospice Program or to the Church of the Good Shepherd Improvement Fund through the funeral home.
