Nicholas H. Horelick, Sr.

Nicholas H. Horelick, Sr., age 68, of Seymour, the beloved husband of 47 years of Susan Horelick, entered into eternal rest peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 10, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Derby on August 13, 1946, son of the late Nicholas and Helen Ptak Horelick. Nick worked as a Sub-Station Electrician for the United Illuminating Company. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, holding the rank of Petty Officer, Third Class. Nick was an avid golfer, loved riding in his Corvette and was a diehard New York Yankee and New England Patriot fan. He had a great love for music and was a drummer in several bands including Genesis, US Rhythm and the Decades. Nick loved spending days with his cherished granddaughter Dakota. His happy-go-lucky personality and his fun-loving smile will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Nick's loving family, in addition to his wife Susan, includes his devoted son Nicholas Horelick, his wife Courtney of Seymour, and his cherished granddaughter Dakota Rose, his loving daughter Lisa Horelick, and his beloved sister Elise Casalan and nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, January, 14, 2015 at 10:00am DIRECTLY at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Interment in the family plot at Mountain Meadows Cemetery will follow.
