Olga Finkle

Olga Shermeta Finkle, age 93, of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Peter Finkle to whom she was married for 50 years, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Shady Knoll Health Care in Seymour. She was born in Ansonia on May 12, 1917, beloved daughter of the late George and Anna Yorko Shermeta. Olga was a devout communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour, an avid homemaker who loved to knit and crochet, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and loved being with her family and friends. Her loving family includes her caring daughters, Bonnie Owen and her husband, Nicholas, of Seymour and Patricia Sosnovich, and her husband, Donald, of Seymour; a loving sister, Eva LaCapra of Watertown; a beloved sister in law Mary Finkle of Seymour; five cherished grandchildren, Michael, Donald, and Scott Sosnovich and Melissa and Keith Owen; several cherished great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Arthur Finkle, a cherished daughter, Arlene Finkle, and her beloved sister, Mary Hall. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Olga's life will be held on, WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 9, 2011 at 9:30 am at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, (Route 67 across from Klarides Village), Seymour, CT with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Spring interment will be in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am.
