Richard J. Lombardi, Jr.

Richard J. Lombardi, Jr., age 53, of Branford, the beloved husband of Jeanine Cuomo Lombardi, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. He was born in New Haven on April 28, 1964 loving son of Richard and Carol Lombardi, Sr. Rich was a 1982 graduate of Holy Cross High School and attended the University of Pennsylvania. He owned and operated Penske Truck Leasing agencies in Boston, Norwalk and Danbury. Rich also was the owner of Lombardi Realty. He loved all sports, and achieved many outstanding awards throughout the years, being named to the All American Baseball Team in 1984 representing the University of Pennsylvania was one he was most proud of. Rich loved being outdoors, especially going to the beach. He loved his pets, celebrating holidays, cooking, and was an avid movie fan. Rich traveled to many places throughout his life and had many tales to tell. He will be sadly missed by all and will remain in our hearts forever. In addition to his wife and parents, Rich is survived by his son Andrew Spry, stepson Stephen Cuomo, brother Robert Lombardi and his wife Valerie, his nephew Nick Lombardi and his nieces Ashley and Olivia Lombardi. A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Rich's Life will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Interment will be in the Spring at the convenience of the family.
