Rosalie Cicerchia

Rosalie (Loly) Pacchiarelli Cicerchia passed away March 13, 2015. Born In New Haven, Connecticut on May 14, 1927 to John and Dirce Pacchiarelli, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Dominic Anthony Cicerchia, and her sisters Perrina Corso, and Dolores Rappa. Rosalie and Dominic lived in Bethany in their custom built ranch for 52 years. She leaves behind three loving children and their spouses, Evelyn Cicerchia Mancuso and Mark of Sparta, TN, June Cicerchia Ennaco and Andrew of Simsbury, CT, and Robert John Cicerchia and Cheryl of Seymour, CT. Dominic and Rosalie had eight wonderful grandchildren; Kristin Ennaco and husband Christopher Sebas, Adrienne Fornwald and her husband Daniel, Mark D. Mancuso, Stephanie Ennaco, Andrew D. Ennaco, Melissa Cicerchia, Shelby R. Mancuso, and Jessica Cicerchia. She was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Samuel Everett Fornwald. Loly will be missed by her sister Delcie LePage. Rosalie graduated from Boardman Trade School and worked in fashion design prior to her marriage. She designed and sewed her own wedding dress and trousseau in 1950. Rosalie continued to design and sew clothing, quilts, reproduction doll clothes, and half doll ensembles throughout her adult years. She taught adult education sewing classes and passed on her skills to her daughters as well as many students. She also loved to knit and crochet for her family. She was an avid collector of Lladro figurines, Banjo clocks, Franciscan Ware, Half Dolls, Christmas pins and all sorts of antiques, or anything else that caught her eye. A Memorial Service in celebration of Rosalie's life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (Rt. 67, opposite Klarides Village) in Seymour, CT, with The Reverend Andrew S. Patton, officiating. Friends and family are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday, April 25, 2015, between the hours of 3 pm and 5 pm.
