Shawn M. Dyer

Shawn Michael Dyer, age 45 of Thomaston, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 18, 2020, after a long battle with addiction. Shawn was born in Danbury, on August 3, 1975, the son of Sandy Allen and the late Rufus Dyer. In addition to his loving mother Sandy Allen, who never gave up on Shawn and his journey, he leaves his cherished and beloved daughters Robin Dyer and Emily Dyer. They will miss their dad and hold dear their moments they shared . Shawn also leaves behind his sister Penny Groves who always kept him in her prayers , his brothers Thomas Dyer, Robert Dyer and Roger Dyer, and last but not least he leaves his nephew T.J. Groves , who he enjoyed fishing, fighting, go-carting, working and joking with, all of which will be cherished and missed. Shawn is also survived by his niece Kaya Pascucci who he was very proud of , he also left a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Shawn will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts. In addition to his father, Shawn was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Joseph Tani and Joan Perrairas. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be held in a private family ceremony in the Spring. The Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street is compassionately caring for the family.
