Stanley S. Baranowski, age 92, of Seymour, beloved husband of the late Helen Markovich Baranowski, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford,CT. He was born in Seymour on December 31, 1919 the son of the late Bronislaw and Ludwika Burblis Baranowski. He was a devout communicant of The Church of the Good Shepherd and was an usher for many years. He served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman during World War II and was stationed in District of Columbia and Antigua and guarded the Hope Diamond at the Pentagon. Stanley was a Machinist for the Bridgeport Brass Company of Seymour for 40 years. He was a member of the Emil Senger Post #10, the American Legion of Seymour and was also a member of the VFW. He was an avid golfer and often played at Woodhaven Country Club and Great Hill Country Club. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. His loving family includes two devoted sons Robert Baranowski and his wife Paula of Oxford, and Richard Baranowski and his wife Beth of Sarasota, FL., three cherished grandchildren Erika and Melissa Baranowski of Oxford, and Joel Baranowski of Sarasota, FL., as well as several loving nieces and nephews. Stanley was predeceased by four brothers John, Ziegmont, Walter and Edward Baranowski and his loving sister Vera Baranowski. Friends and relatives may call on Saturday Morning September 15, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, 'Rte 67' Seymour (opposite Klarides Village). A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Stanley's Life will follow at 11:00 A.M. at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour,CT., with The Reverend Edward S. Jaksina, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow in the family plot in St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour,CT., with full military honors being accorded .Expressions of sympathy may be made in Stanley's memory to The Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour,CT. ,06483.
