Stanley Joseph Dykty, age 94, of Seymour, the beloved husband of Irene Saska Dykty, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Bishop Wicke Healthcare and Rehabilitation of Shelton. He was born in Ansonia on April 23, 1927, loving son of the late Walter and Mary Domorad Dykty. Stanley was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church of Ansonia and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II aboard the USS New Jersey. He was a member of the David S. Miles Post 174 American Legion of Oxford for many years. Stanley was a retired Foreman for the Kerite Company where he worked for many years. Along with his wife Irene, Stanley loved his daily swims at the Ansonia YMCA as well as fishing and bowling. He was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed reading. Most of all, Stanley loved to spend time with his loving family and many friends. He will be sadly missed by all but will remain forever in our hearts. In addition to his loving wife Irene, Stanley's family includes his beloved sons Stanley Michael Dykty and his wife Patricia Anne of Lynchburg, VA and Kenneth Walter Dykty of North Ogden, UT, his loving daughter Debra Julian and her husband Michael of Seymour, his cherished grandchildren Joseph and Angela Julian and Christopher Dykty, his cherished great granddaughter Josephine Julian and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Stanley was predeceased by his beloved brothers Frank and Edward Dykty and his seven loving sisters Stella Pozucek, Tessie Kurpaski, Helen Votto, Mary Klonis, Harriet Kaslaitis, Jennie Sears and Bertha Gray. A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Stanley's Life will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road in Seymour. Interment in the family plot with full military honors accorded will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The family is requesting that all who come to pay their respects to please wear a mask. Memorial gifts in Stanley's memory may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society, both through the funeral home.
