Stanley L. Cusick

Stanley Louis Cusick, CPA, 80, of Woodbridge, the beloved husband of Karen Talamelli Cusick, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. He was born in Wilkes Barre, PA, the beloved son of the late Stanley and Mary (Mikelski) Cusick. Stanley was a devout communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church of Woodbridge. He received his Bachelors Degree in accounting from Quinnipiac College. He was a resident of Woodbridge since 2006 and formally resided in North Haven. Stanley was the managing principal /member of Cusick and Company, LLC of Woodbridge. He was formally a fiduciary accountant with Cummings and Lockwood, Attorneys at Law and a former partner at Cole, Frago, Cusick, Chestler and Co, Certified Public Accountants from 1972-1996. Stanley was a proud member of the CT Society of Certified Public Accountants since 1972 serving on many committees through the years. He was a member of American Institute of CPAs, a Past Chairman of Committee on Cooperation with Bankers and others Credit Grantors, a co-author of Reference Book for Bankers and Other Credit Grantors on Financial Statements first and second editions, a past Chairman of CSCPA Federal Tax Committee (1989-90), a member of CSCPA Professional Committee (1990-91), a Member of Hartford Estate and Tax Planning Council, a past Vice Chairman of the North Haven Board of Education, a member of North Haven Business Partnership and Education (NAPE), a member of Advisory Board, Bank of Boston , CT (1991-92), a charter member of the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce and a member of Board of Directors (1991-92), Board of Governors CT Society of CPAs (1991-93), a member of CSCPA Personal Financial Planning committee (1994-95), member of CSCPA Liaison with CT Bar Association Committee (1991-96), member of CSCPA Trust, Estate and Gift Taxation Committee (1998-2007) and its Chairman (2001-2004). He served in the US Army National Guard Reserves. His loving family in addition to his wife Karen includes his brothers John (Julie) Cusick of Hamden, Gerald Cusick of Riverside, CA, Ronald (Susan) Cusick of Baltimore, MD, his sister, MaryAnn (Robert) Livieri of Hamden, his stepchildren, Rebecca Allen (Sam Grim) of Venice, FL, Brian Allen (Steve Horsch) of NY, NY and William (Mia) Talamelli of Hamden, his grandchildren, Jason Army, San Francisco CA, Dale Army of Basalt CO, Adylae Talamelli of Hamden, his mother in law, Veronica Kulas and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by wife Anne Allen Cusick, sister in law, Rose Gianetti Cusick and father in law Jack Kulas. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Adedayo Adetola for all the care and support he has provided and to Montowese Health and Rehab Center for the compassionate care Stan received. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Vincent Curran at 10:00 A.M. Interment in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven will be held privately. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Stan's memory to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Road, Woodbridge, CT 06525 or the Woodbridge Town Library, 10 Newton Road,.
